My journey started as a first-grade teacher at Urban Academy. During my time, I was a member of many committees including PBIS and providing feedback for school-wide instruction. I also became lead of the first-grade team in 2022 where we piloted a grade-wide tiered learning system for ELA and Math. Our data was the best in the building. The following year, I became the Associate Dean where I focused on discipline, school culture, student activities, restorative practices, suspension alternatives, managing committees, planning and executing school-wide events and activities, establishing community partnerships and creating and implementing systems along with other leadership duties.
